Weekly Wrighting Assignment

I was reading the prompts of Mama Kats weekly writing assignment. And I decided that I was actually going to participate this time!!! So if you would like to participate also, here are the prompts:

The Prompts:

1.) How did you meet your best friend?(inspired by Kati from Country Girl, City Life)

2.) What are you feeling guilty about? or Memories of your childhood home.(inspired by Josie from Sleep Is For The Weak)

3.) Tell why you are ecstatic "The one that got away" got away.(inspired via twitter by Jay from Halftime Lessons)

4.) Have you found your bliss? What path did you take to get there? or are you still searching)(inspired by Carma from Carma Sez)

5.) Create a conversation between one of these three couples:(inspired by myself)

I have actually decided to go with prompt number 1 and prompt number 5……so yes I am going out on a limb on this and doing two of them!!!

Prompt #1: How did you meet your best friend?

So this is a story all about how my life got twisted /turned up side down, and Id like to take a minute, just sit right there, and I will tell you how I became friends with my best friend!( I know the song is stuck in your head now….hahaha) but anyways to continue........

So I moved to Alabama when I was 12 years old…….my dad decided that he wanted to move here, so we did. We loaded up all of our possessions that we could fit into a UHAUL truck and into the back of my parents Jeep Cherokee and we headed to Alabama. We would figure out where we would live when we got there! My dads’ family lives here in Alabama, so we figured it would be OK! We drove 8 hours all the way up here, I cried probably 6 hours of the trip! I was loosing all of my friends and family that I had known since I was little! What in the world was I going to do now?

Well I will tell you what I did……My mom enrolled me and my older sister in school shortly after we made it to our destination, and I began my 6th grade year at a new school with new people that I didn’t know! Was I scared? Sure……but I figured what the heck, I better make the best of it, because we weren’t going back to Florida! So I started trying to make friends. Some people were nice, and others were just mean to me!

The first time I ever met my BEST friend was when I got put into the same class as her for our homeroom teacher. She was one of the first people to be mean to me! Yes you read that right! She was mean to me to begin with! But after a day or so she realized just how cool I really was…..Ha-ha….no really she realized that she was trying to hang with the wrong type of people and that I was different than them! That I was generally a nice person who didn’t judge someone because of their clothes or their haircut! So from 6th grade on we have been inseparable! Don’t get me wrong we have had our disputes, but no matter what we have dealt with the differences and moved on!!!

So here is to 13 years of friendship…..Best Friend………and to many more to come!

Prompt #5: Create a conversation between one of these three couples:

I chose to do a conversation between the 3rd couple

Mrs. - Would you get off of me!

Mr. - I just wanted some sugar!

Mrs. – That’s fine…….just don’t kiss my freaking neck you know I can’t stand it!

Mr. – Ohhhhhh is it driving you Nuts?

Mrs. - Yes….but not like you wish it did…..now get off of me! ~!!!!

Mr. – But………

Mrs. – but nothing….get off……..why do you always do that while I’m cooking dinner or something! It’s not like it turns me on! Get off!

Mr. - (sulks away mad….because in the end he didn’t even get any sugar!!!!!)

So now you take your turn at trying one of these Weekly Writing Assignments!

Its Time

So I guess it is time for a new blog.......to update on little man! He will be 7 months old on the 18th of this month! Man has time flew. He is trying to crawl now. It is soo cute when he is on the floor on his hands and knees and just cant figure out how to get those hands and knees moving at the same time to actually move! So instead he just rocks back and forth before he makes a face plant into the floor, towards what ever it is that he wants! He is pretty quick though, considering he isnt actually crawling, he can get to something before I even notice he has it in his hand/ mouth! He loves to eat, he will eat anything you give him. He loves to laugh...and I am talking a deep down from the lowest part of his belly laugh! It is the best thing to hear when you have had a bad day! He loves his mommy, daddy, pappy, grammy, pop, nanna, aunts, uncle and cousin more than anything.

He loves his cat precious, and she loves him just as equally. Well for right now that is anyways!

He had his 6 month check up back in August. He weighed 18lbs 14oz, he is a big boy! He thinks that he is to big for his car seat now! No suprise there though....he has never really enjoyed that! He went on his first florida trip in August to see Mamaw and Papaw. Im sure that is the first of many! He went to his first Go-Kart races last weekend.....again a first of many Im sure! He loved it, they didnt scare him at all, he wanted to get in them every chance he got. I have some pics I will have to post!
Here is his first time in a Go-Kart though......start them out small and they will do it forever! HAHAHAHA

He loves to go and watch his Aunt Haley play softball......he is such a ladies man already!

He loves to watch T.V. it dosent matter whats on, he just loves T.V ingeneral!

He is such a ham when it comes to the camera! He loves for his picture to be taken!

Guess thats about it for now!

Baby boy update!

Well baby boy is finally better, it seems that his stuffy nose is finally coming to an end! Thank GOD, I honestly dont know how much more I could have taken from the in-laws before I blew up! I look back at before I had him and I seriously dont know what I did without him.....it is such a joy to have! I look forward to picking him up from daycare, and him jabbering all the way home to me, like he has a days worth of stuff that he just has to tell me! But let me tell you, that is the only time I can get his little but to jabber to me......as soon as we get home, its all about his daddy! That boy loves his daddy......I am so glad though, hes not a clingy mommas boy! Only when he is sick or sleepy! But Jay is getting much better at getting him to sleep, his patience is getting much better also. I love to just sit and watch my two boys laugh and talk to each other! Its the greatest feeling in the world to be a mommy! But anyways, as soon as I get my pics off of my camera onto a disk I will most definatly post some of the most adorable pics you have ever seen in your life!

NOT ME MONDAY!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

*** This morning, I did not throw an ice cold glass of water on my husband while he was in the shower in return for him "accidently" hitting me with a washcloth he threw out of the shower. Not me, Never!

WEEKLY WRITING ASSIGNMENT

So I figured that I would give this whole writing thing a try. I have seen it many times now on Charlenes' blog, but have never actually participated!

There is no bond like a bond between sisters/ best friends...... (prompt #1)

I actually have 2 people that have helped me through SO much, and they are Lindsey and Charlene. I actually met Lindsey the day I was born. She is my older sister, and by older I mean 11 months and 24 days. We are the same age for a week. Its actually pretty cool! We have been though everything together, thick and thin (I'm thick and shes thin). We are sisters, but for us it is much more, we are best friends. I have been there for her and she has been there for me. There isn't really a particular occasion that she has helped me get over, more like just help me get though life in general. Sometime I wounder what it would have been like if we hadn't been so close in age, and have such a close bond. But then I remember all the things we did together as kids, even now as adults. Don't get me wrong, we have our little fights, well mostly me making her mad because I don't mind telling her what I think about something she is doing! I always knew that if I had a problem with a friend I could just go to her.

Then there is Charlene. I met Charlene in 6th grade and we have been inseparable ever since. Any time I had problems with my parents, sister or even boy trouble, I always went to her. She has always just sat there and listened, she didn't always have a suggestion on what I should do, but it didn't matter to me, I just needed someone to vent to most of the time. And I knew that I could call her at any hour of the night, well on her cell phone (when she finally go one). Her parents were kinda a stickler on the whole calling past 9 thing! We have had a blast growing up together. The past few years we have kinda went our own ways, but we still try and find time for each other! And I still know that I can call and talk to her about issues on the home front and she wont judge me or anyone!

Today I will do more than possible in 24 hours....... (prompt #5)

I start my day out anywhere from 6 - 6:30 am. I now not only have my self to get ready but also the baby. First thing I change a diaper, get a bottle for the baby if he is hungry, prop him up in his boppie pillow, and finally try and get my self ready and leave the house in time to take the baby to daycare, and turn around and make it to work on time! (Which usually dosent happen)

I probably do the least amount of anything while I am at work, sitting at my desk. Granted I have my daily duties at work, but they don't amount to half the stuff I have going on at home. My usual afternoon routine consist of picking the baby up from daycare or Debbie and James, cooking when I get home except on Wednesdays (we go to church, and just grab a bite to eat) change a diaper or 2, fold clothes from day before, wash dishes/bottles, change a pee pee diaper, put aways clothes, play with baby (he is soo darn cute), fix bottles for the night, put in a load of clothes, change a pee pee diaper, feed the baby, give the baby a bath, dress the baby, rock the baby to sleep, put the baby to bed, make sure the humidifier is turned on, swap out laundry, get the sleeping husband out of the recliner and into the bed, turn off living room TV, make sure the door is locked, lights are off, stove is turned off, Take a very quick shower, and finally go to bed.

Only to get up around 3 - 4 am and change yet another pee pee diaper, and feed the baby, and considering little man is sick I now have to fit in ridding his poor nose of boogies, But now don't get me wrong, I love my life, just wish sometimes the husband would help out a little more on some of the duties at home. After all he isn't the only one who has a full time day job, only to come home and have a full time job at home!

I PROMISE, I DID TAKE DRIVERS ED!

This morning, like many mornings on my way to work, I somehow manage to forget how I got to where I am on my trip to work. I usually travel the same exact way everyday, but somehow I dont seem to remember half of my trip to work. I dont know if its that I get so wrapped up in thought or what it is. Sometimes I even wonder how I managed to get to work safely (no tickets, or wrecks). I was on my cell phone this mornig on my way to work, and seriously when I got off of the phone, I couldnt even remember passing half of the scenery that I see every single day! How weird is that? It happens to me more times than not. Sometimes it worries me that I dont remember. I have even sometimes gotten off at the wrong exit, and then realized it, and wonder, Where in the world am I going? Im not a wreckless driver or anything, just seem to forget where I am at, and Where I am going...lol
